Specializing in training American Saddlebreds, Clouse Stables is located in the heart of Versailles, Kentucky. Owner Clark Clouse, and his team, work closely with their clients in all aspects of the industry including competition for amateurs, young prospects, sales, and breeding.

Clark’s father, Tommy, began showing horses when he was a child, and after graduating from college, he realized that he couldn’t stay away from horses for long. Tommy started training Saddlebreds and it quickly became apparent that Clark was bound to follow in his footsteps. 

Clark’s first horse was a five-gaited pony that he showed at Lexington and Louisville, taking home the reserve in the qualifier and championship at Lexington Junior League.

Over the years, Clark has trained over 50 World and Reserve World Champions, working with some young and untried horses, and others that were older and perhaps overlooked by other trainers. “The ones that have the talent, that just might need somebody to maybe think out of the box, those are the ones I enjoy. I enjoy seeing something that has talent that just need a little push in the right direction,” says Clark.
